Beach House’s Once Twice Melody leads a pretty slow release week. Good thing it’s a double album!
Because it’s once, twice times a melody. That’s right. Beach House’s Once Twice Melody is finally out. The self-produced album was been released in “chapters” beginning in November, but now the entire album is available. So far, so good as far as critical acclaim goes. Other releases include Alynda Segarra’s Hurray for the Riff Raff album Life on Earth, and Small World from Metronomy.
In bands that used to be bigger news, Sea Power (née British Sea Power) have finally fulfilled the promise of the title of their first album The Decline of British Sea Power. Everything Was Forever is the band’s first since 2017, and first as just Sea Power.
Australian stalwarts Midnight Oil have dropped their latest, Resist. The album, whose cover features an image of the rising global temperatures over the past century, is as politically charged as you’d expect from the band.
Other semi-big releases include Manticore from Shovels & Rope, Nightroamer from Sarah SHook & The Disarmers and The Heart Behead You from Foxy Shazam (yes, they still exist).
 More releases

Silk Sonic is back with a cover of a Con Funk Shun classic.
Everyone’s favorite indie rock band, Fontaines D.C., have a new album coming out in April. Here’s their latest single from Skinty Fia.
Lots of blood in the new single from Tinashe. The mid tempo groove of the song isn’t quite as gruesome.
Don’t know about the song, but this video from Rex Orange County is kinda fun.
Oh, and a new song from Scorpions. It’s not bad?
