Got a minor addiction to your channel after founding it through your Bruce Springsteen ranking, and saw that you did rankings with many of my favorite bands/artists. Been watching a lot of your stuff since then. It’s kinda fun to see some people closer to your age discuss the good ol’ boomers and their music.

Too bad I missed when you did the album of the years series. Would have been fun to made my own list and compare it to yours and other people’s.

Would love to see you go guys through Van Morrison’s and/or the Kinks’ albums btw. Two great great discographies (both when it comes to quality and quantity). They are quite often overlooked when people discuss music imo.

Some “newer” artists like Lana Del Rey, Arcade Fire, The Gaslight Anthem, and the War on Drugs would also be pretty cool.

Would also be fun to see remasters of The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty and Elvis Costello.

And, my favourite albums of 1969 is (probably)

1. The Band – The Band
2. The Beatles – Abbey Road
3. The Rolling Stones – Let It Bleed
4. Dusty Springfield – Dusty in Memphis
5. Led Zeppelin – Led Zeppelin

So many other good albums to consider though. CCR, Townes Van Zandt, Flying Burrito Brothers, Nick Drake, Kinks, Who and Dylan all released really good albums that year.

My top five albums for 1969 is (probably):

1. The Band – The Band
2. The Beatles – Abbey Road
3. The Rolling Stones – Let It Bleed
4. Dusty Springfield – Dusty in Memphis
5. Led Zeppelin – Led Zeppelin

There are also some other albums that could be included, like Townes Van Zandt, The Gilded Palace of Sin and Nashville Skyline. It’s hard.

I must say I have become really addicted to your channel lately. Found it through your ranking of Bruce Springsteen’s albums, and have watched a lot of your other rankings. Some bands/artists I really love (Bruuuuuuce), some I can’t stand (like Queen), and some I’m willing to give a chance (Radiohead for example). And it’s fun to see your rankings and how they compare to mine. You’re often pretty close to mine, even if there are some jawdropping moments. Anyway, it’s kinda fun to see some guys closer to your age discuss the good ol’ boomers and their music.

Two of my favourite artists I would love to see you guys discuss would be Van Morrison That’s easily my favourite artists save Springsteen, and he has a great discography (both quality- and quantity-wise). His highlights from the late sixties and seventies belong to the all-time greatest albums imo. The Kinks catalogue would also be very fun to see you guys go through. I think they’re often overlooked compared to The Beatles, Stones and Who.

Some “newer” artists that would be fun would also be Arcade Fire, The Gaslight Anthem, Lana Del Rey, The War on Drugs and maybe even Taylor Swift. (Not a huge fan of her, but I did kinda like her 2020 releases and Red is pretty OK.)

So yeah, really dig your channel, and I appreciate that you go the extra mile and include artwork and so on. Makes it a lot more fun to watch.
