A really vile new release week.

A real snoozer of a week unless you like dat indie Rock. Kurt Vile is back with a new full-length record titled (Watch My Moves) with a whole slew of guests, including Cate Le Bon and Rob Schnapf. Ja Spaceman is also back with the latest Spiritualized record Everything Was Beautiful. It was recorded at 11 different studios and features a big mix of styles, apparently.

If you like country that isn’t TOO country, Kaitlin Butts’ what else can she do could scratch the same itch that Maren Morris did with her last album.

Also, there’s a new Jewel record. It’s titled Freewheelin’ Woman and has Jewel in a cowboy hat on the cover, so we’re going to assume it’s a country record, too.

Classic rockers Nazareth have a new record out. But not even “Classic Rock” magazine likes it.

More releases

GRIEF – Samora Pinderhughes
Ain’t It Nice – Mal Blum
Head of Roses (Phantom Limb) (EP) – Flock of Dimes
Brave Faces Etc. – Spanish Love Songs
Free Time – Jerry Paper

Singles

Phoebe Bridgers has a new single out called Sidelines.

Okay, Lizzo. The funktastic R&B star has been all over the place, but not because of her music. That changes with the disco-aping About Damn Time. It’s a banger that channels a classic 70s sound with her very 2020’s-style vocal work.

Morgan Wallen’s redemption tour continues with the weepy Don’t Think Jesus.

Gucci Mane has a new song. It doesn’t break a lot of new ground.
