March Badness 2022: The Elite 8 Worst Songs Ever
It’s the Elite 8 of awfulness. Which songs have what it takes to make to the Final Four?
And just like that we’re on to the Elite 8.
No, it’s no April Fools. This is the bottom of the barrel. The very worst that music has to offer us.
Not a lot of drama in the previous round, but plenty of racism.
In the fan vote for the Sweet 16, Ahab the Arab took out Billy Ray Cyrus’ Achy Breaky Heart, 167 to 112. Seven Little Girls by Paul Evans defeated the one song with a nice message in the tournament, Ebony & Ivory 177 tp 95. Rice and Curry beat Sarah Brand, 182-73 in one of the biggest blowouts of the tournament so far. Number 1 seed EW! took home an incredible 88% of the vote vs. the two-and-a-half minute sexual innuendo that is Telephone Man. In the closest match of the tourney, Hey Soul Sister narrowly defeated Photograph by Nickelback, 152-126. Toby Keith’s Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue blitzed All Summer Long, the bastard love child of Sweet Home Alabama and Werewolves of London from the always loathsome Kid Rock. Boston’s If You Were in Love powered through Bollywood 149-110 and American Reckoning by Bon Jovi beat Summer of (Mike) Love from the Beach Boys 170-92.
The question now becomes, will the TLM panel override the popular vote with a 3-0 decision?
